– Driving Simulator
Does my new system come with a warranty?
All of our driving simulators come with a standard 2-year warranty. For clients who would like anything past 2-years, we offer a maintenance contract to cover the longevity of the system for up to 10 years.
What types of vehicles do we have in our software?
Give us the VIN and we’ll build the SIM. All Models offer digital-twin simulated vehicles. Each Model and Series of Sim-Tech Driving Simulators are delivered to your specifications. All vehicles are equipped with specified vehicle dynamics to OEM specifications and Operator’s request.
– Financing
Can I apply for financing?
Yes
Can I Finance a Driving Simulator?
The answer is yes, you can. We offer in-house financing, as well as work with government agencies to apply for financing to increase the safety training for the company.
– Operations
What does the temperature of the room have to be to use the simulator?
All Sim-Tech Driving Simulators require proper operating temperatures of 45°F – 120°F. Temperatures exceeding these limits may cause damage to the driving simulator systems, and are not covered under warranty unless specified. Proper maintenance and support are included for all operators of the Driving Simulator under any circumstances.
– Operators Console (OpCon)
What are some of the different weather conditions that can be driven in?
Each Driving Simulator is equipped with the standard Unlocked Operator’s Console (OpCon). From the OpCon, various weather conditions are available for manipulation at the Instructor’s discretion. Weather options include:
Precipitation:
- Snow
- Rain
- Sleet
- Wind
- Ice
- Dust
Geo-specific Solar
- Time of day
- Cloud coverage
- Temperature
– Physics & Dynamics
Can weight be added to a vehicle and if so, does it affect the handling of the vehicle?
Yes. All vehicles suited for additional weight capacities are dynamic and are effected by load-weight. For Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) load distribution is dynamic per vehicle specification. This includes baffled, un-baffled, and segregated tank systems.
– Weather Conditions
When driving on snow and ice will the vehicle slide/skid?
Yes. All weather conditions affect the Digital-twin vehicle’s physics and dynamics. This includes steering, braking, acceleration, braking, and all other applicable physics and dynamics.
